Charged with Child Abuse? We Can Help

Child abuse cases can be very, very complicated and very high stakes. A lot of times, CPS gets involved, Child Protective Services. They’ll investigate and, though, in most cases, we might suggest that you not make a statement to law enforcement, if you don’t make a statement to CPS, you then, you can be sure, will report anything you say to law enforcement. Child Protective Services can take away your children. Sometimes, the reports come in from medical personnel. A child has an injury that a doctor thinks is suspicious, and the doctor is required to report this to the police. You have to cooperate with your child’s doctor, don’t you?

Well, these are very complex cases, and they can go wrong very easily, but at Kurtz & Blum, we’ve been through this more times than I can possibly count. We’ll be glad to provide you with some guidance and some wisdom. If you give us a call, we’ll be glad to talk through your specific facts in your specific situation. Call us at 919-832-7700. At Kurtz & Blum, we’re in your corner.
